For years, Dr. Patrick Steptoe and Prof. Robert G Edwards were pursing research in the field of infertility. They achieved success with the birth of the first IVF Baby, Louise Brown, in 1978. Inspired by the successful birth of the world’s first IVF baby Dr. Patrick Steptoe and Prof. Sir Robert G Edwards decided to dedicate their lives to helping patients fight infertility.
They established Bourn Hall in 1980 at Cambridge, UK. Prof. Robert G Edwards was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2010 for his pioneering efforts.
